Ecole-O-Champ believes profoundly in the value of education as a vector of change for our agri-food system. It is why our team of specialists offers activity days in different agricultural themes at municipal day camps and to groups of students in the region of the Lower Laurentians.
Our dynamic team offers specialized activities, in order to transmit the values of local agriculture, the promotion of the territory's products and sustainable food! Add a rural flavour to your day camp by a visit to the Ecole-O-Champ educational farm. Situated in the historical territory of the Oka Abbey, the farm allows people to relive and experience the history of agriculture in enchanting surroundings!
Thanks to our four animation platforms that take place outside in the fresh air, your children will have the chance to participate in several activities :
In this way young people will be exposed to the agricultural world and to professions of the future, but especially with the origin of their food! Come visit us this summer and help forge our next generation of farmers!
Typical day
In order to accommodate groups for which traveling to the Abbey would be difficult, it is also possible to organize educational outings on farms in your region by request. Promoting local producers and allowing young people to meet the people who shape their food system are part of the regional PDZA's mandates.
